Head of Data Technology
I am seen as a Technologist that can employ various data related technologies and quickly buildup a scalable architecture for data and analysis provisioning best suited for company needs as per company data volume, analysis/kpi needs and budgeting situations. With this reputation, I have been entrusted as Head of Data Technology to lead Crosslends BI function. I work closely with Data Science team, the Development and Sysops teams. My daily collaboration extends to Operations, Marketing and Finance heads, and I report to C-level executives.
Within the scope of my responsibilities, I have carried out below functions:
• Setup a MySQL based Data Warehouse.
• Rolled-out Microstrategy BI suite. Microstrategy is an enterprise capable BI toolset.
• Established various data processing ETL routines, including processing of payments for overall KPI and Accounting purposes.
Above technical achievements lead to below overall added Data Insights:
• Onboarding funnel KPIs.
• Monthly development of conversions, marketing expenses, cogs, and revenue numbers.
• Various Dashboards for Marketing team - a unique one here is a dashboard that takes user inputs for targets, and updates the dashboard with performance vs target widgets.
• Empowered Operations team with various customer insights.
• Regular tracking of onboarding drop-offs, and triggering of follow-up alerts.
• Providing per Channel Cost and Performance dashboard and reportings for Marketing.
• Validating Marketing leads.
These are some of the highlights that I am listing. Data sources included Google Analytics, Salesforce, Talkdesk, Salesforce and UMS (Marketing leads) data. At some point, we were also publishing data to Applicata. I also had the chance to build data validation routines for Marketing leads.
Unique Achievement: As a senior finance advisor joined Crosslend, I had the opportunity to calculate some of the most important Financial Metrics for Internal Rates of Returns, Annualized Net Returns (unadjusted) and Default Curves. These metrics and calculations involve a certain degree of Maths, and are of crucial importance in Fintech industry in general.

• Took-away data silos, and provided one consolidated overall view.
• Integration of data, both in terms of acquisition and processing as well as publishing.

Data Warehouse Architect
I as Senior DWH Architect, laid down foundation of the DWH at Kreditech, am responsible for overall DWH Architecture, Infrastructure, and a BI workforce (an Engineering Team).
Below is a brief list of vital functions that I performed, together with vital BI components / projects that were designed and developed under my lead, which serve crucial business groups, departments and teams.
• Evaluation and selection of suitable DWH Technology with CTO of the company.
• Managing company relationship with vendor (Exasol in this case).
• Assisting both parties in contract negotiations.
• Integrating company source databases and systems with the Exasol DWH.
• Designing Data Models, starting with Accounting and Controlling topics.
• Modeling company core revenue related tables in the DWH.
• Leading development of sophisticated purchase engine of the company business.
• Providing Hierarchy based Channel allocation of Marketing activities.
• Built a Finite State Machine to do classification of company financial data.
• Built Payment Waterfall Calculations.
• Supported legacy live dashboards (Geckoboard) with near real time reporting.

Senior Manager BI
I as Senior Manager BI, was responsible for Customer related topics, analyzing Customer Behavior over time, and other Customer centric KPIs which enable Zalando to focus on making Customer experience truly enjoyable and fun to shop on Zalando.
Below is a brief list of Customer focused BI/DWH projects that I did at this company:

• Analysis of huge website click log files (using Hadoop).
• Design and Development of Customer Survey Data.
• Interfacing operational subset for forecast analysis.
• Leading migration of Oracle DB to new HW, with better backup and recovery solution.
Each project recursively involves Data/Information Modeling in the design phase, followed by rapid agile development of ETLs and Target Schemas, followed by Testing and Delivery.
Deliverables are given out to Business Users in phases/iterations. In one of the projects, I was acting as Information Manager, controlling which information can be granted to which group of users.
